The California Independent System Operator (CAISO) invites Tribes and Tribal representatives to a hybrid meeting with the CAISO, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), and the California Energy Commission (CEC) on April 9, 2026 from 1-4pm Pacific Time. The CAISO will facilitate conversations with Tribes to incorporate Tribal laws and regulations into long-term transmission planning. This meeting will provide an overview of FERC Order No. 1920 and CAISO’s transmission planning processes, as well as the respective roles and responsibilities of the CAISO, the CPUC, and the CEC in electric system planning.
This will be a hybrid meeting, with both a virtual participation option and an in‑person option at the California ISO headquarters in Folsom, CA.
